8 oz cold meat
brown sauce, gravy or stock
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp tomato sauce or ketchup
1 lb cooked yams
1 Remove skin and fat from meat and mince it.
2 Season the meat well with salt and pepper, and add brown sauce, gravy
or stock to moisten. Add onion and ketchup.
3 Place the meat in a greased pie dish.
4 Mash yam.
5 Pile the yam crust over the meat and make it neat with a knife dipped
in hot water.
6 Cook in a hot oven, 400 degrees, for 10-15 minutes.
Note: Any other root vegetable may be used.
